Hershey’s Gold Caramelized Creme celebrates 2018 Winter Olympics with a new sweet and salty crunch.
Fans of sweet and salty combos will love Hershey’s newest candy bar, Hershey’s Gold Caramelized Creme, available in stores Dec. 1.
Hershey’s Gold Caramelized Creme includes crushed peanuts and pretzels, enrobed in creme that has been caramelized using a “proprietary” method in Hershey’s kitchen. No chocolate is included in the bar.
Hershey’s Gold is the first new flavor from the company since it introduced Hershey’s Cookies and Creme bars in 1995, adding a fourth flavor to its offerings along with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, introduced in 1900, and Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate, which debuted in 1939.
The new Gold flavor also will commemorate the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, sponsored by Hershey.
Little Southern Lady had the opportunity to taste test Hershey’s Gold before its Dec. 1 release. I really liked it!
It’s a little bit different than anything I’ve tasted, probably due to the use of the newly-created, proprietary “caramelized creme.” I like how the pretzels and peanuts are crushed into small pieces, so they are nicely balanced with the creme. It also has a nice salty finish, making in an “all-in-one” snack for when you want something sweet and something salty.Look for Hershey’s Gold in stores near you Dec. 1.
The 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games will air on NBC Feb. 8-25, 2018.
