The Joanna Gaines for Matilda Jane collection is a glorious mash-up of all the pretty, girly things! I love the colors that Joanna picked, and her focus on farm life, home life and simple things like playing tea party. In this post, I’ll show you some of my favorite pieces from her beautiful line. But first, can we just stop and admire her hair for a minute? Anyway.
I am already so in love with everything Matilda Jane, and this collaboration further cemented my deep adoration of this brand.
Just about every piece I see is so precious I can hardly stand it. The Joanna Gaines line even includes special items like home goods, aprons and this sweet-as-pie tea set, with its own little blanket.
I love every. single. piece! in the Joanna Gaines line, especially this incredibly detailed Baked from Scratch girls’ apron, with a matching women’s version!
When I was a little girl, I would have adored this little, girly tent.
It would have been the perfect spot for coloring or organizing my sticker collection. And definitely for my Barbie photo shoots, which happened and were documented without a chic floral backdrop. Where were you, Matilda Jane?
Matilda Jane clothing is so very soft, well-made and comfortable, but to me, the most delightful thing about it is their focus on letting little girls be little girls, and dress in clothes that are both age appropriate and pretty. Full of ruffles, girly prints and wonderful colors, the line is frilly, fun and creative. But it’s also made for play.
The Matilda Jane women’s line borrows the fun and frills from the girls’ and tween line, with a slightly more grown-up, lady-like feel. I sometimes wish other women’s clothing lines had more fun and whimsy, like little girls’ clothes, and Matilda Jane does! It’s just somewhat pared down, with sleeker silhouettes than the girls’ line.
So, this post is basically my Matilda Jane wishlist. 🙂 Thanks for listening. For pricing and more pretty things, check out the Lookbook for the Joanna Gaines for Matilda Jane collection here.
In case you’ve just now discovered the wonderful, girlish world of Matilda Jane, FYI: the company has clothing lines for young girls, tweens and women that are sold exclusively through Trunk Keepers.
TK’s, as they are called, host online sales (often on Facebook) and also do occasional in-person trunk shows.
